Prime Minister Fils-Aimé Unveils Bold 25-Year Vision to Reclaim Haiti’s Greatness

Haiti’s Prime Minister, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, is charting a long-term course aimed at restoring the country’s legacy as the “Pearl of the Antilles” and turning it into a pillar of stability and economic strength in the Caribbean.

Speaking at a strategic leadership forum with government officials, private sector leaders, and international partners, the Prime Minister outlined a 25-year roadmap focused on national renewal. At the heart of his vision: peace, prosperity, and pride.

“This is not just about rebuilding. It’s about reinventing Haiti. We must imagine a future where this nation becomes a hub for trade, innovation, and regional cooperation,” he declared.

The government’s long-term strategy prioritizes public safety, institutional reform, sustainable economic development, social inclusion, and a modern infrastructure network that can support growth and resilience. It also places a strong emphasis on engaging youth, empowering women, and involving the Haitian diaspora in nation-building efforts.

“We understand that political transition is necessary. A democratically elected president must one day take over. But today, we are laying the foundation so the next government can continue on the right path. Let’s lay that foundation,” he emphasized.

Prime Minister Fils-Aimé, an entrepreneur before becoming head of government, reminded the public that his commitment to Haiti will not end with his mandate. “I’m not going anywhere. I’ve created jobs in this country, and after handing over power, I will continue to contribute to the reconstruction of the Haiti we all dream of.”

His message is clear: the time to act is now, and it will take collective vision, determination, and unity to make Haiti a regional model of leadership, resilience, and hope.
